Hypervalent iodine reagents are intensively used in organic chemistry as mild, safe, and economical alternatives to heavy metal or rare metal reagents.
At ICHIC 2025, the latest advancements in the discovery, synthesis, and application of hypervalent iodine compounds and other hypervalent halogen compounds will be showcased. We will emphasize their roles as catalysts and reagents in organic synthesis, medicinal chemistry, chemical biology, materials science, and industrial applications.
